I am a Software Developer with a Chemistry background and I have recently completed the Professional Software Development course at CodeClan. During this course, I gained experience in full stack development and Agile techniques by completing projects using JavaScript, Java, and Python, along with several frameworks. I believe that the acquired skills have given me an excellent foundation for building a career in tech, and, along with my ability to quickly learn new concepts, make me a suitable candidate for a Software Development role.
Throughout my previous career in the Chemical industry, what I found most appealing was the goal of developing products with real-world applications and with the customer in mind. This shared goal was one of the things that attracted me to Software Development. Additionally, I have also come to appreciate the speed at which results can be achieved when problem-solving in a programming context compared to lab-based development.
I come from a career in which customer relationships are valued above all, and their needs are taken into account when developing new products. I am confident that I would make a valuable addition to any technical team.
